I chose e.l.f. cosmetics because I use their products every day and when they launch new products (which is often), I always buy them. I love how affordable they are, but are also good quality. When people talk about e.l.f., they mention their affordability, accessibility, dupe comparisons to high-end products, and their cruelty-free and vegan status. 

e.l.f. Cosmetics offers high-quality beauty products at affordable prices, making them accessible to a wide variety of consumers. Their value proposition is in delivering trendy and cruelty-free makeup and skincare products without breaking the bank. With a focus on innovation and inclusivity, e.l.f. appeals to money-conscious beauty lovers wanting both affordability and quality.

e.l.f. Cosmetics is known for regularly dropping new products, and keeping their line new and exciting. For beauty enthusiasts who like to stay on top of trends, this frequent release schedule is a never-ending flow of options to explore.

e.l.f. Cosmetics seems to have mastered covering all bases when it comes to makeup and skincare. It's like they're always one step ahead, knowing exactly what beauty lovers are searching for.

People rave about e.l.f. Cosmetics for a reason as their makeup is good quality. Products are pigmented, blend well, have a good color/shade range, and contain ingredients beneficial for the skin. 



e.l.f. Cosmetics uses its social media platforms, mainly TikTok and Instagram, to showcase a range of makeup and skincare products, and positive messages aimed at its primarily female audience. Through their posts, they promote products ranging from colorful eyeshadow palettes to hydrating face masks, emphasizing their affordability and quality. They also emphasize inclusivity and diversity in their marketing, presenting messages of self-expression and empowerment. 


e.l.f. Cosmetics is succeeding in the beauty industry, with its innovative marketing strategies focused on affordability and quality. Through storytelling and a strong social media presence, they've successfully built a community of loyal customers who resonate with their message of inclusivity and self-expression. By utilizing user-generated content and influencer partnerships, e.l.f. creates genuine connections with their audience. However, the brand faces the ongoing challenge of standing out in a crowded market, requiring continuous innovation to maintain its position. e.l.f. Cosmetics' marketing strategy is effective in reaching its goals, as seen by its growing popularity and positive opinion among consumers.


e.l.f. Cosmetics consistently responds to customer questions and feedback across their social media platforms, establishing a positive relationship with their audience. This engagement not only demonstrates their commitment to customer satisfaction but also helps build trust and loyalty. By listening to and addressing customer concerns, e.l.f. gains valuable information that can steer future product development and marketing strategies. 


If I were the brand manager, I'd make social media a conversation by responding quickly to customer questions and feedback. I'd also use social media to make it seem more personal and “human” such as sharing behind-the-scenes content and sharing the brand’s values to connect with customers. My strategy would focus on building trust through authentic engagement on social media.


This assignment taught me the important role of social media in creating genuine connections with customers. I learned that quick and understanding responses to customer comments are crucial for building trust and loyalty to the brand. Successful marketing is about more than just promoting products, it's about relationships and delivering benefits to customers.
